Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission has announced a three-phase schedule for the upcoming elections, outlining the timeline for polling activities, candidate procedures, and other election-related arrangements.

According to the election authorities, the phased polling plan has been prepared to ensure smooth management of the electoral process and provide adequate time for administrative preparations, security arrangements, and coordination among relevant institutions.

Officials said the election schedule includes key stages such as the submission and scrutiny of nomination papers, finalization of candidates, election campaigning, and polling dates. The commission has directed concerned departments to complete all necessary preparations to ensure a transparent and peaceful electoral process.

Political parties and candidates have welcomed the announcement while preparing their campaigns and strategies for the upcoming polls. The election is expected to attract significant public interest, with voters set to choose their representatives through the democratic process.

The AJK Election Commission has emphasized that all arrangements will be made in accordance with election laws and regulations to ensure fair and impartial polling.
