The National Emergency Operations Center has announced the first national anti polio campaign of the new year.

‎According to the National Emergency Operations Center, the first national anti polio campaign of the new year will start on February 2 and will continue until February 8. NEOC officials said that the national polio campaign will be held simultaneously in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

‎During the polio campaign, 45 million children across Pakistan will be administered polio drops. More than 400,000 polio workers will perform duties during the national polio campaign. Anti polio officials have urged parents to fully cooperate with polio workers and protect their children from disability.

‎Last year, five national anti polio campaigns were conducted, which resulted in a significant decline in polio cases.
