Record Surge in Malaria Cases Across Sindh After Rains

After the rains, a record increase in malaria cases is being reported across Sindh. From January to September 17, a total of 154,123 malaria cases have been recorded in the province.

‎According to the spokesperson of the Sindh Health Department, 2,097 malaria cases were reported from Karachi, with the highest number of 620 cases reported in District Malir. District South reported 374 cases and District West reported 349 cases.

‎The spokesperson added that District Korangi reported 359 cases, District East 179 cases, District Central 121 cases, and District Keamari 95 cases.

‎Furthermore, Hyderabad Division reported 71,014 malaria cases, Sukkur Division 11,862 cases, Larkana Division 40,173 cases, Mirpurkhas Division 11,865 cases, and Shaheed Benazirabad Division 17,112 cases.
