The outbreak in Khairpur is being investigated at the federal level, and a team of experts from the National Institute of Health Pakistan has departed from Islamabad to Khairpur.

‎The National Institute of Health has expressed concern over the lack of timely reporting by provinces and has demanded that provincial authorities immediately share case data.

‎The institute stated that delays in reporting at the provincial level could affect national efforts, and timely reporting to the World Health Organization is Pakistan’s international responsibility. Hiding or delaying reporting could lead to the spread of the outbreak.

‎Authorities have directed that Monkeypox samples be sent to laboratories in Islamabad, while the DG Health has instructed stricter screening at airports and increased surveillance.

‎According to officials, 25 to 30 suspected cases were reported in Khairpur yesterday.
