The Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education has taken another positive step to improve facilities for the treatment and management of stroke.

‎It has been decided to launch an institutional certification program under the CPDP policy for trained human resources for the Provincial Stroke Program at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology.

‎A one year program for Acute Ischemic Stroke Intervention Certification for neurologists and neurosurgeons has been launched, and the eligibility criteria to become part of this unique program have also been issued.

‎Only employees holding an NOC from the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education and the Department of Health and Population will be eligible to apply for this program.

‎Candidates with no inquiry and a no objection certificate will be able to apply. Through this unique program, the scope of the stroke management program in Punjab will be further expanded.

‎The provincial cabinet has already approved the Chief Minister’s Special Initiative for the Stroke Management Program.
