An armed robbery incident was reported near the residence of the Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, where four unidentified assailants looted a milk shop and fled the scene.
According to details, the incident occurred early in the morning in Mahmoodabad’s Akhtar Colony, Sector D. CCTV footage shows that four armed suspects arrived on two motorcycles and carried out the robbery. One suspect first entered the shop brandishing a weapon, followed shortly by two others.
The armed men also robbed a customer who had come to purchase milk and looted cash from the shopkeeper as well as money kept in the shop’s counter drawer before escaping.
The affected shopkeeper, Shahid, stated that the residence of Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Naveed Anthony is located adjacent to his shop.
At the time of the incident, a police mobile assigned for the Deputy Speaker’s security was present in the area; however, no police personnel were inside. The suspects managed to flee the scene without facing any resistance.
