Karachi — Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has addressed recent speculation surrounding his absence from several live performances, insisting that the decision had nothing to do with money.
In a statement shared with fans, Atif explained that he had to decline the shows due to prior commitments and an already packed schedule. He noted that sometimes event organizers announce appearances before final details are confirmed, which can put undue pressure on performers.
“I don’t want to disappoint my fans. If I know I can’t give my best performance, I prefer to step back,” Atif said.
This comes after rumors circulated suggesting the singer refused to perform over payment issues, which he called misleading. Despite missing these events, Atif reassured his audience that he plans to return to live shows soon and is focusing on upcoming music projects.
