Karachi: In a major crackdown against organized crime, Awami Colony Police have dealt a significant blow to active motorcycle theft gangs operating in the city.
Acting on information provided by a recently arrested suspect, police conducted a raid on a concealed warehouse located in Ilyas Goth, where 35 stolen motorcycles were recovered.
According to police officials, 27 of the recovered motorcycles were found intact and in running condition, while eight were dismantled into parts, indicating the existence of a well-organized theft network.
SHO Awami Colony, Malik Aamir, stated that the recovery was made following intelligence obtained from a suspect arrested after an alleged encounter. The suspect is reportedly linked to an inter-provincial motorcycle theft gang. Further investigations are underway to identify and arrest other members of the network.
