Azad Kashmir: Dengue cases surge, 70 new patients reported, total exceeds 4,000

Dengue virus cases continue to rise in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with 70 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours.

‎According to the Dengue Control Room, the total number of patients in the region has reached 4,018, while two people have lost their lives to the virus.

‎Statistics show that Muzaffarabad has reported the highest number of cases at 2,839, followed by Bagh with 127, and Mirpur with 871 cases. Jhelum Valley reported 3 cases, Neelum 44, Sudhnoti 3, Haveli 6, and Poonch 45 cases, while Kotli confirmed 2 cases and Bhimber 19 cases.

‎The Dengue Control Room stated that 48 patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals, while 510 patients have recovered and been discharged.

‎Health Department officials have urged citizens to maintain cleanliness, prevent mosquito breeding, and follow precautionary measures to control the spread of dengue.
