Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, along with Corps Commander Balochistan Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan and other senior officials, visited the Central Police Office (CPO) to assess the security arrangements for Ashura.
During the visit, the Chief Minister and the Corps Commander inspected the monitoring room established at the CPO and directed authorities to keep a close watch on any suspicious or provocative elements. Immediate action was advised against any potential threat.
Chief Minister Bugti emphasized strict surveillance of Ashura procession routes, sensitive locations, and entry and exit points. He instructed all security agencies to remain on high alert, warning that even minor negligence would not be tolerated.
He highlighted that all departments are working in close coordination and reaffirmed that the government, security forces, and the public are united in maintaining peace and order during Muharram.
The Chief Minister also directed the Inspector General of Police to ensure foolproof security at processions, religious gatherings, and public areas, guaranteeing the safety of all citizens.
