Peshawar: In a series of targeted operations, Bhanamari Police arrested four suspects involved in street crimes and the illegal drug trade, recovering large quantities of narcotics and stolen cash.
According to the spokesperson for Capital City Police Peshawar, following special directives from senior officers, a citywide crackdown against street criminals and narcotics dealers has been intensified.
As part of the operation, Bhanamari Police arrested Haider (son of Dilawar), a resident of Rasheed Garhi, and Muhammad Imran (son of Fatah Muhammad), a resident of Cantt Saddar. The suspects were allegedly involved in multiple snatching incidents.
Police recovered Rs. 42,000 in stolen cash and a pistol used in the crimes from their possession.
In a separate operation, two notorious drug dealers, Asfandyar (son of Ghulam Hussain) from Dag Hussain and Sartaj (son of Anwar Taj) from Dheri Baghbanan, were also arrested.
The arrested drug peddlers were supplying ice (methamphetamine) and other narcotics to a network of habitual users. They are also wanted in similar cases by other police stations.
From the suspects’ possession, police recovered 2,300 grams of ice and 4,500 grams of charas (hashish).
Further investigations are underway.
