LAHORE — A teenage girl was subjected to humiliation in Shahdara Town when her brother forcibly shaved her head over allegations linked to “honor,” and attempted to blackmail her with inappropriate video recordings.
According to police, the 15-year-old girl had arrived at her brother’s residence in Baba Fareed Colony when the incident occurred. On a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Dilbar, the Kot Lakhpat SHO registered a case and conducted a raid, resulting in the arrest of four suspects from Fareed Colony.
The arrested individuals include the girl’s brother, his wife, and two other relatives.
ASP Kashmala Farooq stated that the suspects believed the girl had a friendship with someone, and acting on suspicion, they forcibly shaved her head. They also recorded inappropriate videos of the victim and repeatedly threatened to circulate them on social media.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Qasim (brother), Masooma (sister-in-law), Sameer, and Ganger Bibi. Further investigation is underway.
