KARACHI – On court orders, Surjani Town Police have registered a case against DSP Surjani, an ASI, a constable, and 12 other nominated persons, along with several unidentified women, for allegedly storming a residence, subjecting a family to torture, abducting a woman, and stealing cash.

According to the FIR filed on the complaint of a female resident of Gulshan-e-Noor Phase-I, Block A, the incident occurred on July 9, 2025, around 12:40 a.m. She stated that police officials, including DSP Surjani Town Ishtiaq Ghori in plain clothes with a weapon, ASI Gulbahar, Constable Shoukat in uniform, and others including women, forcibly entered her home after breaking the door.

The complainant alleged that the officials assaulted her and her family, held her father in confinement, and stole Rs200,000 from the house. She further claimed she was forcibly taken away in a vehicle, kept at an undisclosed location, and subjected to physical and mental torture throughout the night. According to her statement, the DSP threatened her to withdraw her case or face death.

The next day, following a petition filed by her family in court, she was released at the police station.

Police confirmed that the case has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further probe, but no arrests have been made so far.
