Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, the viral entertainer known for his unique singing style, has finally responded to the wave of criticism he regularly receives. Appearing as a guest on Hina Niazi’s show, Chahat expressed his views openly and addressed the backlash surrounding his performances and fame.
Speaking candidly, Chahat said many people are simply jealous of his popularity. He acknowledged that some critics don’t even consider him a real singer, but he remains unbothered. “I know who I am and what I do. People who criticize me are just insecure,” he stated.
He further claimed that many mainstream Pakistani singers avoid performing at the same events as him, revealing a growing divide in the entertainment community. “They think I don’t belong, but their arrogance says more about them than me,” Chahat said, accusing other artists of elitism and insecurity.
In the interview, Chahat also addressed the controversy surrounding his viral song “Bado Badi.” He emphasized, “Noor Jahan didn’t become famous because of Bado Badi, nor did Mumtaz. My version is totally different.” He labeled the criticism as baseless and added, “People are making noise for no reason ‘chaan chaan’ everywhere.”
Defending his work, he boldly stated:
“My song is for females and it’s different. I do what I enjoy. People who don’t like it can go their own way.”
Despite the criticism, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan remains confident and determined to continue entertaining his audience, whether the industry accepts him or not.
