After a case of Congo virus emerged in the Killi Hassan Thekedar area of Chaman, the Health Department has issued an alert.

‎According to health officials, after symptoms of the Congo virus appeared in an 11 year old girl named Farishta, she was immediately shifted to Fatima Jinnah Hospital Quetta where she is receiving medical treatment.

‎As news of the virus spread in the area, a wave of concern spread among residents. Local citizens have demanded that the Livestock Department immediately ensure disinfectant spraying in cattle markets and affected areas to prevent further spread of this deadly virus.

‎Experts say that before Eid, citizens should adopt precautionary measures when going near animals and must use gloves before handling them. It is important to note that high fever and bleeding from the body are clear symptoms of the Congo virus.
