Clean and Green” Campaign to Be Launched Tomorrow at University of Karachi; Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi to Attend as Chief Guest

Karachi (Media Hyde Correspondent): Islamic Jamiat-e-Talaba, University of Karachi, is set to formally launch its “Clean and Green” campaign tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the University of Karachi. The inauguration ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM in the Arts Lobby, with the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, attending as the chief guest.

The event will also be attended by Aabish Siddiqui, Nazim of Islamic Jamiat-e-Talaba Karachi, Dr. Fawad Khan, Chairman of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, and Rizwan Sami, Chairman of Jinnah Town.

The campaign aims to raise awareness among students regarding cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and sustainable green practices. As part of the campaign, students will actively participate in cleanliness drives, tree plantation, and initiatives to improve the university’s ecological environment.

According to the Nazim of Islamic Jamiat-e-Talaba, this campaign is not limited to the university; it is a practical effort to encourage students across the city to contribute toward a greener and cleaner environment.

A spokesperson of the University of Karachi has welcomed the campaign, stating that the university administration fully supports such positive and constructive student-led initiatives.
