Sixteen new dengue cases have been reported in Rawalpindi during the last 24 hours.
According to details, a total of 14,148 people have undergone dengue testing so far this year, while 948 suspected dengue cases have been confirmed.
The District Health Authority Rawalpindi stated that 49 patients are currently under treatment in hospitals, and no deaths from dengue have been reported.
During dengue surveillance, 5,692,088 houses were inspected, out of which 180,266 were found dengue positive. A total of 1,571,372 spots were checked, and 24,292 of them tested positive for dengue.
Dengue larvae were found at 204,558 locations, which were subsequently destroyed. Legal actions were also taken against violations of anti-dengue SOPs.
District Health Officer Dr. Jawad Ahmed stated that 4,502 FIRs were registered and 1,857 locations were sealed. Additionally, 3,515 challans were issued, and fines amounting to Rs. 10.98 million were imposed.
