The national polio campaign will commence today across 159 districts of the country.

‎According to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), during the week-long polio campaign, 45.4 million children will be administered polio drops.

‎Along with the polio vaccine, children will also be given an additional dose of Vitamin A. The national polio campaign will be conducted across the country from October 13 to 19.

‎The NEOC stated that more than 400,000 health workers will go door-to-door to protect children from polio, while in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the campaign will be held from October 20 to 23.

‎The NEOC has appealed to parents to ensure that all children under the age of five receive the polio drops and that all children up to 15 months complete their routine immunization course on time.
