Doctors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have made a remarkable claim that they saved the life of a woman whose heart had stopped beating for nearly 40 minutes.
According to the Arab newspaper Gulf News, doctors at a hospital in the Fujairah state successfully saved the woman after her heart stopped following a severe heart attack.
Reports stated that the woman was rushed to the hospital’s emergency department immediately after sudden cardiac arrest.
The Department of Health said a specialized medical team used advanced resuscitation techniques and worked tirelessly to restore the woman’s heartbeat and save her life.
According to hospital officials, the woman did not suffer any complications and is not expected to face any negative effects from the treatment in the future.
Dr. Ahmed Obaid Al Khadem, Director of Fujairah Hospital, described the case as clear evidence of the hospital’s preparedness and the extraordinary skills of its medical staff.
He added that this achievement reflects the teamwork and swift emergency response of the hospital, strengthening their commitment to providing modern and safe healthcare.
Dr. Thaer Khazim, Head of the Cardiology Department, said that immediate and effective coordination between the emergency and cardiology teams was the foundation of this success.
He further stated that despite the prolonged cardiac arrest, their coordinated response ensured the woman’s survival and full recovery.
Although hospital officials and doctors claimed to have saved the woman after her heart stopped for 40 minutes, they did not specify what type of treatment was provided.
