Rawalpindi: Police have taken two suspects into custody after they allegedly abducted a young girl near the Saddar Metro Station and attempted to flee in a car.
According to police officials, the Dolphin Force pursued the suspects after they ignored a signal to stop and sped away. During the chase, Dolphin Force personnel intercepted the vehicle near Qasim Market by bursting its tyres.
A 10-year-old girl was safely recovered from the vehicle. The suspects have been identified as Muhammad Arshad and Muhammad Ahsan. They were shifted to Civil Lines Police Station along with the vehicle used in the incident and the recovered child.
Police sources said the girl stated that she did not know the suspects and was taken into the car near the Saddar Metro Station. Further investigation is underway.
