YouTuber Ducky Bhai (Saad ur Rehman) was granted bail on Wednesday after being accused of promoting an online application that investigators believe operated as an illegal gambling platform. The bail was approved by a Lahore court while the inquiry continues.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the app encouraged users to place monetary bets under the guise of gaming, causing financial losses to several people. Ducky Bhai was named in the case after he appeared in a sponsored video that featured the application.
During the hearing, his lawyer argued that the YouTuber had no knowledge of any unlawful activity and participated in the promotion based on standard sponsorship procedures. The prosecution maintained that influencers must verify the authenticity of the products they endorse, especially when money is involved.
The court granted bail, instructing Ducky Bhai to cooperate fully with investigators as they review digital evidence and financial records. The YouTuber has publicly denied wrongdoing and says he is ready to face the legal process.
The case has sparked discussion online about influencer responsibility, transparency in paid partnerships, and whether stricter guidelines are needed for digital advertising in Pakistan.
