The Excise Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has intensified its crackdown against narcotics, launching a joint grand operation in Mohmand and Swabi districts.
According to official details, authorities destroyed 37 acres of illegally cultivated poppy crop in Tehsil Ambar, District Mohmand.
The operation is being carried out under the provincial government’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics. In a separate action in Beer Gali, Swabi, a large area of illicit poppy cultivation was also eradicated.
The joint operation involves the Excise Department, district administration, police, and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to taking strict action against drug dealers and smugglers. He directed authorities to further accelerate field operations to achieve the goal of a drug-free Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
