Pakistani singer Falak Shabir has stepped forward in support of the contestants and judges of the musical reality show Pakistan Idol, granting them full permission to perform his songs without seeking approval.
His announcement came shortly after fellow singer Sajjad Ali made headlines for restricting the use of his songs in the same show due to unresolved financial terms with the organizers. Sajjad Ali had stated in a press conference that contestants could win by performing his songs, but they were not allowed to sing them officially because no agreement had been reached.
The move sparked public debate, with many criticizing Sajjad Ali for limiting opportunities for emerging talent in Pakistan’s music scene.
Responding to the controversy, Falak Shabir took a different stance. In a heartfelt message, he said his decision aims to empower young artists and help them showcase their talent freely.
“Music belongs to everyone. If my songs can help new singers grow and make Pakistan proud, they are free to sing them,” Falak stated.
His supportive gesture has been widely appreciated by fans and industry insiders, who praised him for encouraging new voices and promoting unity within the music community.
