Falling Temperatures in Rawalpindi Finally Bring Dengue Under Control

Rawalpindi’s dropping temperatures have finally defeated dengue, as only one dengue patient was reported in the city during the last 24 hours.

‎According to health department sources, no deaths have occurred due to dengue this season, and a total of 23,505 patients have been screened.

‎So far, the number of dengue-positive patients across the district has reached 1,538, while 12 patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals. Meanwhile, 1,361 teams are actively conducting dengue surveillance across the district.

‎A total of 6,390,235 houses have been checked, and 213,729 dengue larvae hotspots have been identified in residential units. Additionally, 1,951,739 sites have been inspected, where 29,232 larvae positive locations were found.

‎Overall, 242,981 dengue larvae have been recovered. In response to violations of dengue SOPs, 4,652 FIRs have been registered, 1,945 locations have been sealed, and 3,767 challans have been issued.
