First Rabies Case from a Mongoose Bite Reported in Sindh, 42 Year Old Woman Dies

According to Dr. Aftab Gohar, the first rabies case resulting from a mongoose bite has been reported, and a 42 year old woman has died.

‎Dr. Aftab Gohar stated that the woman was bitten by a mongoose in Jacobabad two weeks ago. She was brought from Jacobabad to Indus Hospital for medical treatment, where she passed away during treatment. According to the doctor, the deceased woman had shown symptoms of rabies.

‎Dr. Aftab Gohar further stated that the number of deaths caused by rabies this year has reached nine.
