According to a drug testing laboratory report, four important medicines have been declared substandard and adulterated and orders have been issued to immediately recall them from the market.
Authorities have instructed pharmacies, wholesalers and distributors to immediately stop the sale of these medicines.
The oral solution “Inda Save”, used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, was declared unsafe due to an excessive amount of ethylene glycol.
The antibiotic injection “Suporex” was found adulterated and below standard according to the laboratory report.
The vitamin injection “Neucobal” did not meet quality standards and was declared substandard.
Similarly, the dexamethasone injection “Neudex” was also found adulterated and substandard. The government has ordered the mentioned batches to be immediately collected back from the market.
