Police on Wednesday arrested four suspected robbers in two separate encounters in Okara and Bahawalnagar.
On Randraka Road in Okara, three alleged bandits were arrested with injuries while their three accomplices managed to escape.
Police claimed the suspects were wounded by the firing of their own associates.
The injured men were identified as Ghulam Farid, Shehar Yar, and Niaz Farid, who were reportedly involved in 49 cases of serious crimes.
Police also recovered stolen cattle, arms, and valuables, and launched a search for the escaped suspects.
In another incident in Bahawalnagar’s Sadr police area, one alleged robber was arrested after being injured during an exchange of fire with police, while two accomplices fled. Authorities said the suspect was wanted in cases of robbery and snatching, and raids are underway to catch the others.
