Karachi police have arrested four suspects during a targeted operation against gangs allegedly involved in leaking matriculation examination papers, officials said. According to authorities, the arrests were made following intelligence-based raids in different parts of the city.

The suspects are believed to be part of an organized network that obtained and circulated exam papers before scheduled test times. Police officials said evidence, including leaked papers and communication records, was recovered during the operation. Investigators are now working to trace the wider network, including facilitators within educational institutions and printing channels.

The crackdown comes amid growing concerns over the integrity of board examinations in Karachi, after reports of paper leaks surfaced during the ongoing matric exams. Education authorities have vowed strict action against those involved, warning that such practices undermine merit and the credibility of the examination system. Further investigations are underway, and more arrests are expected as the probe expands.
