Karachi: Boat Basin Police have arrested four suspects, including two brothers, for allegedly killing a Hafiz-e-Quran youth with a sharp-edged weapon during a dispute in the Shireen Jinnah Colony area.
According to police details, the arrested suspects have been identified as Abdul Rehman, Abdul Shakoor, Sajjad, and Shahid. Officials confirmed that Abdul Rehman and Abdul Shakoor are real brothers. The incident occurred on 18 November when a minor quarrel among children escalated into a clash among adults, during which the victim, identified as Hammad, sustained severe injuries from a sharp weapon.
Police said the injured youth was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his wounds during treatment. A case was registered, and an investigation was launched, leading to the arrest of the four suspects and recovery of the murder weapon.
Authorities added that one suspect, identified as Gohar, is still on the run, and efforts are underway to arrest him soon.
