Geo Films’ latest cinematic venture, Deemak, is set to hit theaters nationwide on Saturday, June 7, coinciding with Eid ul Adha 2025. Marketed as a psychological horror intertwined with family drama, Deemak promises to deliver a unique blend of emotion, suspense, and supernatural mystery.

Directed by Rafay Rashdi and written by Ayesha Muzaffar, the film revolves around a seemingly ordinary household haunted by eerie and escalating paranormal activities. As tensions rise between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, the boundaries between reality and the supernatural begin to blur. Their son is caught in the emotional crossfire, struggling to make sense of the haunting while holding his family together.

The film features a star-studded cast, including veteran actors Samina Peerzada, Bushra Ansari, Faysal Quraishi, and Sonya Hussyn, with supporting performances by Javed Sheikh, Saman Ansari, and newcomers Anaya Abbas and Aarez Abbas.

Produced by Syed Murad Ali of Wah Wah Productions, Deemak is distributed in partnership with Geo Films and Mandviwalla Entertainment. The project also boasts top-tier technical work, including visual effects by Julia Milas and Imagine Magic Studios, cinematography by Rana Kamran, and sound design by Sohaib Rashdi.

According to the filmmakers, Deemak is inspired by true events, adding a chilling authenticity to the horror elements. The film aims to break new ground in Pakistani cinema by combining emotional depth with psychological suspense, challenging the typical horror formula.

Cinema owners anticipate strong box office performance, especially during the Eid holidays. Advance bookings have already opened in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with tickets selling fast at leading cinemas such as Nueplex, Cinepax, and Atrium Cinemas.

With Deemak, Geo Films continues its mission to support original storytelling and high-quality local productions, positioning the film as a potential game-changer for Pakistan’s horror and drama genres.
