Karachi: June 1, 2025 — In a major crackdown aimed at protecting the youth from the menace of drugs, Malir District Police carried out a grand and effective operation against drug addicts in the Rehri Goth area under the jurisdiction of Sukhan Police Station. The action was taken on the special directives of SSP Malir, Kashif Aftab Abbasi, and in compliance with the orders of the Inspector General of Sindh Police.

A heavy contingent of police participated in the operation, during which several drug addicts were taken into custody and shifted to the police station for further legal proceedings. The police also launched an awareness campaign during the operation to educate the local community about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

“The youth are the future of our country, and decisive actions are being taken against drug peddlers across Malir District,” SSP Abbasi stated.

The operation was supervised by SHO Adeel Shah, under whose command many of the addicts were also shifted to the Edhi Rehabilitation Center to help them return to a healthy and productive life.

Speaking to the media, police officials emphasized that drug addiction not only destroys individuals but also affects entire families. They urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying and reporting drug dealers and anti-social elements.

The police reiterated that the fight against drugs is a collective societal responsibility and appealed to citizens to stand united in this crucial mission.
