Habit of Checking Mobile Phone Immediately After Waking Up is Harmful for Health

In the present era, the mobile phone has become an essential part of human life and many people keep checking their screens throughout the day. While technology has made life easier, its excessive use is also causing several negative effects on health and daily life.

‎According to a report, a survey conducted regarding mobile phone use has highlighted a concerning trend about this habit. According to a survey, about 84 percent of mobile users start using their mobile phones immediately after waking up or within fifteen minutes.

‎Health experts say that this habit can have negative effects on the human brain. According to research, when a person wakes up from sleep, the brain initially remains in the delta state, which is a condition of deep calmness. After that, the brain gradually enters the alpha state, in which a person appears awake but the mind is not fully active. Later, the brain reaches the beta state where it becomes fully active.

‎According to experts, if a person starts using a mobile phone immediately after waking up, the brain has to shift suddenly from a calm state to a fully active state. This rapid change can increase mental stress and a person may experience anxiety, irritability and fatigue. Sometimes, as a result, a person may not feel interested in work throughout the day.

‎Experts advise that after waking up from sleep, a mobile phone should not be used for at least thirty minutes to one hour so that the brain can get time to wake up naturally. Experts also point out that in the past few years the trend of using mobile phones before going to sleep has also increased rapidly.

‎According to them, the habit of looking at a screen before sleeping can affect the sleep routine, which may increase the risk of various physical and mental problems. This is why experts consider moderation and proper timing in the use of mobile phones essential for better health.
