A major financial fraud involving millions of rupees has been reported at Lahore’s Hall Road Market, where several traders were allegedly deceived by individuals entrusted with their business funds.
According to initial details, three nominated suspects allegedly defrauded shopkeepers of approximately Rs 28.6 million before fleeing the area. Multiple traders had handed over their money as trust deposits for business-related purposes.
The accused, who were holding the entrusted funds, reportedly misappropriated the money and absconded two days ago.
Following complaints lodged by the affected traders, a case has been registered against the suspects identified as Saghir, Saddam, and Faisal. The Superintendent of Police (SP) Civil Lines stated that special teams have been formed and raids are underway to arrest the accused.
The SP Civil Lines has directed the SHO of Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspects. SP Civil Lines Chaudhry Athar Ali expressed confidence that the accused would be apprehended soon.
