Highway Shooting on M-5 Injures Passengers, Suspects Flee into Riverine Area

Sadiqabad: Armed bandits opened fire on passenger vehicles near Bhong Sharif along the M-5 Motorway late Thursday night, injuring several travelers.

According to initial reports, bullets struck multiple buses, causing damage and injuring passengers. Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene, shifting the wounded to nearby hospitals. Two critically injured individuals were transferred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for advanced treatment.

Following the incident, traffic was temporarily halted near Azampur Service Area and Guddu Interchange. The assailants fled into the riverine (kacha) area, prompting police to launch a search operation to apprehend them.
