Karachi, July 25: The Human Settlement Authority (HSA) and The Citizens Foundation (TCF) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to give free and quality education to the children in underprivileged settlements in Sindh.
The memorandum of understanding was followed by signing the agreement by HSA Director General Engineer Kashif Khan and TCF CEO Syed Zia Akhter Abbas in the head office of TCF which is a milestone in the direction of inclusive education in informal settlements (katchi abadis).
This partnership will see that HSA constructs schools and in the process TCF will run them in order to avail education to needy families.
The head of HSA, Syed Najmi Alam, commended the work of TCF related to empowering unserved people and hoped that the project would change the educational prospects in the unserved regions.
Secretary Shariq Ahmed, Agha Saeed Ahmed, and senior officials were present in the ceremony as the provincial government was firm towards social development.
