Karachi: Tension gripped the area near the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Hockey Stadium after a human torso was discovered inside a shopping bag on Monday. According to police, the body part was found in Block 5, close to the local post office, prompting immediate response from law enforcement.
A police team reached the scene and cordoned off the area, while the crime scene unit was called in to collect forensic evidence. The recovered torso was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) through an Edhi ambulance for legal formalities and further examination.
SHO Muhammad Naeem Rajput said that unidentified suspects had likely dumped the torso at the location before fleeing. He added that police have initiated an investigation and obtained CCTV footage from nearby buildings to trace those involved.
