LAHORE – Police have arrested a man accused of murdering his wife after her body was discovered near the Ravi Toll Plaza.
According to police, the body of 35-year-old Rukhsana was found stuffed in a sack amid bushes near the toll plaza, bearing clear signs of torture. A murder case had been registered by the police under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Investigators traced and arrested the victim’s husband, Shakeel, from Haroonabad. CCTV footage allegedly shows the suspect carrying the sack containing the body from their home.
Meanwhile, on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, PML-N leader Hina Parvez Butt visited the victim’s residence to offer condolences and conveyed the Chief Minister’s message of sympathy. She assured the family of full legal and psychological support from the provincial government.
