The military’s media wing, ISPR, has accused Indian authorities of persistent denial regarding the outcome of what it terms ‘Marka-e-Haq’, claiming that New Delhi continues to mask operational setbacks with a narrative of defiance.

The statement follows a series of recent skirmishes along the Line of Control (LoC) and heightened rhetoric from Indian leadership. Military officials in Rawalpindi suggest that India’s refusal to acknowledge realities on the ground reflects a broader strategy to maintain domestic political optics at the cost of regional stability.

“They are trapped in their own propaganda,” a senior security source told reporters on condition of anonymity. “The reality of the situation is documented, yet the official narrative in New Delhi remains detached from the facts.”

This latest friction arrives as both nations navigate a period of intense diplomatic silence. While India has consistently maintained that its military posture is defensive and reactive to cross-border infiltration, the ISPR’s characterization of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ points to a specific, localized tactical engagement where Pakistan claims a decisive operational advantage.

Analysts see this escalation as part of a long-standing pattern where tactical reality is quickly overshadowed by competing information warfare campaigns. For the local populations living along the border, the disconnect between state narratives and the volatile reality of their daily lives remains a primary source of anxiety.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has yet to issue a formal rebuttal to the ISPR’s latest claims, though sources in New Delhi suggest they view the rhetoric as an attempt to shift focus away from domestic political pressures within Pakistan.

As both sides lock into these conflicting accounts, the possibility of a de-escalation in the near term looks slim. The military posturing serves as a reminder that in this long-running conflict, the battle for perception is often as fiercely contested as the ground itself.
