Lahore : The Flood Forecasting Division has reported a continuous rise in water inflows in the Indus River, causing varying levels of flooding at Guddu, Sukkur, and Kotri barrages.
According to the latest update, Guddu Barrage is facing a high flood situation with water flow surging to 561,000 cusecs. Sukkur Barrage is experiencing a medium flood, recording an inflow of 480,000 cusecs, while Kotri Barrage is under a low flood with 271,000 cusecs of water flow.
At Kot Mithan in Rajanpur and Chachran Sharif, water levels in the Indus have slightly receded, dropping to 11.5 feet.
The Chenab River continues to carry an extremely high flood at Head Panjnad, though inflows have begun to decline, standing close to 460,000 cusecs.
Meanwhile, the Sutlej River is facing a medium flood at Ganda Singh Wala and Head Islam, and a low flood at Head Sulaimanki. In the Ravi River, water levels at Head Sidhnai have decreased, shifting the situation to a low flood category.
