TEHRAN, — Iran’s Armed Forces have issued a stern warning to Isr@el, vowing that the country will “regret” its recent attack on Tehran. The statement, delivered by Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the Iranian military, was reported by Mehr News Agency following a series of retaliatory strikes by Iran.
“We will definitely make the Zionist regime regret what it has done,” General Shekarchi declared during a televised address on Saturday, emphasizing that Israel’s actions will not go unanswered.
Referring to Iran’s ongoing missile and drone campaign launched overnight, Shekarchi stated that the response so far has been only a fraction of Iran’s full military power. “What we have shown is just a glimpse of our devastating might,” he said.
General Shekarchi dismissed any notion that the killing of senior Iranian military figures would weaken the country’s resolve. “The Zionist regime thought it could break us by assassinating our commanders,” he noted. “But those who have stepped up in their place carry the same mission, with even greater determination. They will make Israel deeply regret its miscalculation.”
The comments come amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv, following an Israeli airstrike that reportedly targeted key Iranian military and nuclear facilities. In response, Iran launched waves of missiles and drones toward Isra@li territory, triggering international concern over a broader regional conflict.
Iranian leadership continues to portray the strikes as a legitimate act of self-defense, promising further action if provoked.
