‎Jinnah Institute of Cardiology’s name has been changed. The hospital will now be called Maryam Nawaz Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases .

‎The Punjab government has announced that Lahore’s renowned Jinnah Institute of Cardiology has been renamed to Maryam Nawaz Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. The cabinet has given its formal approval for this decision .

‎Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique confirmed that the hospital will no longer function as an extension of Jinnah Hospital. Instead, it will operate independently, with its own administration and a dedicated board overseeing its management .

‎He said that the new name will appear in the budget book and all official correspondence. The hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art AI and robotics-based machinery to ensure high-quality, modern treatment .
