John Cena Finally Becomes WWE Grand Slam Champion After Winning Intercontinental Title

Boston, November 11 — Wrestling legend John Cena has finally completed his long-awaited WWE Grand Slam, capturing the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Dominik Mysterio in front of a roaring hometown crowd at TD Garden on Monday Night Raw.

The victory adds the one missing jewel to Cena’s glittering career — a career that already includes 16 world championships, U.S. titles, and tag team honors. The Intercontinental crown had been the only gap in his résumé for nearly two decades.

The match wasn’t short of drama. Cena entered to a thunderous ovation, but Mysterio interrupted with his trademark arrogance, provoking an impromptu challenge. After surviving an early onslaught and a referee bump, Cena countered a frog splash with an STF, before sealing the win with an emphatic Attitude Adjustment.

As confetti rained down, an emotional Cena lifted the title high — a moment many fans described as “poetic closure” to one of wrestling’s greatest careers.

> “I’ve been blessed beyond measure. This one means a lot because it completes the story,” Cena told the crowd after the match. “It’s not about the titles anymore — it’s about giving back to the people who made this all possible.”

By claiming the Intercontinental belt, Cena joins an elite list of WWE Grand Slam champions, having now held every major championship available in the company’s modern era.

With his farewell tour already in motion, fans are calling this win the perfect final chapter for the 47-year-old icon who defined an era of WWE. Whether he wrestles again or not, Cena’s Grand Slam achievement cements his place among the all-time greats — not just as a performer, but as a symbol of dedication and longevity in sports entertainment.
