ISLAMABAD — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) has expelled Senator Ahmed Khan from the party over violation of party discipline after he supported the government’s constitutional amendment bill in the Senate.
According to an official statement released on social media platform X, the decision came following recommendations from JUI-F’s Parliamentary Leader in the Senate, Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman, and the party’s Balochistan chief, Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey.
The statement further added that the central leadership has directed Senator Ahmed Khan to immediately resign from his Senate seat.
It also warned that if he fails to do so, JUI-F will approach the Election Commission to terminate his membership.
