Another case of Naegleria fowleri has been reported in Karachi, where a 44 year old man has been diagnosed with the deadly brain eating amoeba.
According to officials at a private hospital, the patient has developed a severe brain infection caused by Naegleria fowleri.
The hospital administration stated that the patient’s condition is critical and he has been shifted to a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
