Karachi police arrested multiple suspects involved in street crime during separate operations in New Karachi and Sachal areas. According to officials, New Karachi police apprehended a group of street criminals after an exchange of fire, during which two suspects sustained injuries. In total, four individuals were taken into custody.
Police identified the injured suspects as Ayaz Hussain and Ghulam Mustafa, while the other arrested men were named Mehran and Andeel alias Sonu.
During the operation, law enforcement recovered firearms, mobile phones, and two motorcycles, allegedly used in various street crime incidents. Police officials added that the suspects are linked to several robberies, and further interrogation is underway.
In a separate incident near Sachal’s Sameera Chowk, another suspect, identified as Wajahat, was arrested in an alleged police encounter after being injured. Rescue officials confirmed that the injured suspect was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
