‎HIV has been confirmed in all four children of the same family in Karachi’s Zia Colony area, bringing the total number of affected children to 81.

‎According to the father of the affected children, HIV was confirmed today in his 10 year old son, while his 9 year old daughter had tested positive two days earlier. Previously, his 12 year old and 3 year old sons had also been diagnosed with HIV.

‎The father said that he has four children and all four have now been affected by HIV. He stated that he had taken the children to the hospital for minor medical treatment, but they are now living with a disease that will remain with them for life.

‎The father of the affected children has appealed to Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani to ensure a transparent and impartial investigation into the matter so that those responsible can be identified.

‎He also appealed to the government to provide justice to his children and extend every possible support to the affected families.

‎Meanwhile, according to sources, the number of children affected by HIV in Karachi has risen to 81, while the relevant authorities are taking measures to investigate the matter and provide treatment and care for the affected children.
