At Lady Willingdon Hospital in Lahore, doctors competed with each other during two maternity surgeries, and a video recorded inside the operation theatre has surfaced.
According to details, during two C-section operations of women at Lady Willingdon Hospital, teams led by Dr Tayyaba and Dr Ayesha were present in the theatre.
During this time, staff standing in the theatre recorded a video and stated that a competition was taking place between the two teams to perform the fastest surgery, which would be decided by Dr Isa.
The girls who recorded the video also said that one was a supporter of Dr Tayyaba and the other of Dr Ayesha, and a full competition was ongoing between the two.
On the other hand, the provincial health minister has taken notice of the video, sought a report, and indicated strict action.
According to sources, the incident occurred a day earlier, and the video went viral on social media. Despite strict restrictions, the video was recorded by members of the doctors’ team.
After the video surfaced, citizens expressed serious concerns and demanded that the administration take strict action against those who put patients’ lives at risk.
