Lahore: A police constable has been booked for allegedly posting content on social media against the Punjab government and the Pakistan Army, while also expressing support for a proscribed organization, officials said.
According to the FIR, several posts uploaded from the social media account of Aqeel Noor were found to be against state institutions. The report states that initial inquiries revealed the account belonged to Constable Muhammad Aqeel Noor, who has reportedly been uploading such content for a considerable period.
Police officials confirmed that the accused constable is currently serving as a computer operator at the SDPO Muslim Town office.
A case has been registered against him at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station under Section 155-C, and further investigation is underway.
