Doctors at Lahore General Hospital saved the life of a 3 month old baby by removing an iron washer from his stomach.
According to the hospital administration, doctors at Lahore General Hospital removed the iron washer from the baby’s stomach through an endoscopy procedure, saving the child’s life.
Assistant Professor Hooria Rehman completed the procedure under the supervision of Professor Muhammad Shahid.
The 3 month old baby, Ali Zain, had been suffering from fever and cough for the past 10 days, and an X-ray report had revealed the presence of a foreign body in his stomach.
On the successful completion of the procedure, Principal Professor Farooq Afzal and MS Professor Dr Faryad Hussain congratulated the team of doctors, while the child’s parents expressed their gratitude and prayers for saving their child’s life.
