During the anti polio campaign in the provincial capital, more than 2.277 million children were administered polio drops surpassing the set target of 2.23 million children.
According to the Health Department, during the “catch up days” aimed at covering missed children, an additional 126,000 plus children were vaccinated against polio.
Observers from the World Health Organization (WHO) praised the performance of the district administration, noting significant improvement in the coverage of “not attended” children.
The WHO representative stated that the recent polio campaign in Lahore was overall commendable, and the efforts of field teams, monitoring staff, and the cooperation of parents played a key role in achieving the target.
